The volunteers in the Bay Area of northern California gathered in the early morning at the Burbank Community Garden, starting the day with recognizing the International Day of Peace. Their objective was to show support for this day of peace through serving the local community. The community Garden has been neglected. In the effort to bring it back to the community, the volunteers repaired the trails and the flowerbeds, making it a place for elementary school students to come to learn about nature. |

This has been one small effort in making this International Day of Peace an annual commemoration in the Bay Area when thousands of acts of service and kindness can take place in support of this special day. |
