The Omaha Chapter of the American Clergy Leadership Conference sponsored an interfaith Peace Prayer breakfast in recognition of The UN International Day of Peace. Guest speakers include Omaha City Councilman Dr Franklin Thompson, Wynema Morris, scholar of the Omaha Tribe, and Dr Saidi Liwaru, Imam of the Mourid Community of Omaha.
Saturday,
Sept. 20th was a bright, beautiful day in Omaha, NE- a
picture perfect day to celebrate Peace around the world and to
acknowledge this peace as One Family Under God. Rev Theresa Tsubaki
welcomed all in attendance and reminded them that Peace is not only
a dream, but a covenant that God has made with us, that achieving
peace on earth is not a impossible task, but our destiny. After a delicious and satisfying breakfast, the pastors, civic leaders and other participants from various religious backgrounds were exalted by the Youth Choir from Rev Hill’s New Light Baptist Church and inspired by a duet by ACLC pastors Rev. and Mrs. Tucker. |
