Groups Partner in New York to Mark the International Day of Peace |

Susan
Bastarrica and the
Vigil for International Peace assembled a broad coalition of
partners including UPF USA and Global Peace Festival NY with support
of the Brooklyn Boro President to observe and celebrate the
International Day of Peace. The 2008 Vigil for International Peace was held in the Prospect Park Bandshell, Brooklyn, New York on September 14th, 2008. An Opening Ceremony Prayer and Blessing initiated the day. That was followed by a special program of musical presentations, song, dance, interactive art and peace meditations.
